Would you wear these?

Aminaka Wilmont sole-less heels

Wooyoungmi men's clear plastic, lace-up boots (fellas, would you wear these?)

Marc Jacobs

I love shoes. Ask my family/friends and they can attest to that. But my love for all things shoes has its limits too. Case in point these shoes taken from the recent Spring 2009 fashion shows. Although I can somehow picture Posh wearing the near-to-impossible-to-walk Marc Jacobs stilettos and successfully pulling it off! D*** you Posh!?!

Amour

Each time I hear this song, I turn to *ahem* mush.

One of my favourite scenes in The Lake House, the dancing-in-the-backyard scene between my beloved and Sandra Bullock's characters while this song was playing. I loved these two in Speed and I loved them even more in here. And if Sandra hadn't gotten married to that biker dude, I'd have rooted for them in real-life!

Useless

This bag j'adore. Shame about the owner though. You'd think she'd have at least some sense when it comes to getting the right shoe size. Oh but wait, this is Posh we're talking about. The very same person, if my memory serves me correct, once said something along the lines of (still) getting the shoes even if they didn't come in her size but she'll make do by stuffing 'em with tissue.

Yes we know you can afford to do that but what is the point?

I still want her bag!!

All I want for Xmas

Those Apple people..they're so darned sneaky and clever! Here's more reason for them to make more dosh...and for us to fork out more money! Sigh...

Features of the new iPod Nano:
* in-built accelerator i.e. the image on the screen flips to fit whichever way the device is being held
* shake-to-shuffle mode. No, it's not some new dance move..what it means is that users can shake the device and play a random tune from its downloaded library of music.
* more colours, 9 altogether.
* bigger capacities: 8GB and 16GB
* stop-watch and video-recorder functions
* longer and thinner than its original predecessor, with a curved aluminium design
* 'Genius' function. Basically what it does is it will scan a user's iTunes library, and suggest other songs and artists they might like based on their musical tastes.

Still waiting...

Despite all the criticisms and gossip, from his acting to his sexuality, Keanu Reeves will always be my ultimate guilty pleasure, and at 44, the man still makes me go weak in the knees and this ol' heart skip a beat....SIGH!

Now, if only he'd get back to me..I've lost count on the number of phone messages, text meesages, e-mails and letters I've sent to him!

Happy Birthday Keanu

What a momentary lapse of will power can do

I thought I could handle the temptation..maintain my will power..but what's that saying..never say never? Seriously, I wasn't set on buying a bag, let alone two (!), during my trip. Instead counting the days and weeks before my next time out from all the daily hassles in life. But then IT happened. IT being laying my eyes on the gorgeous TODS Softy bags in a multitude of summery colours (purple, turquoise, soft pink, olive green, yellow...) How could anyone not fall in love with this?

Or this?

Never let it be said a girl can't have too many bags!

Finally..mine

Unveiling my new "baby"... some of you might recall seeing this early in the year (i think) though in a different shade. It's less stiff-upper looking and lighter as opposed to the Uptown which rarely sees the light of day except when I accidentally stumble upon it!

Aaahhh...this is how it feels to be in love..

A very BIG question

To say that I am 'cursed' is not only blasphemous but even saying it makes me sound ungrateful for what I've been blessed with as well as a hypocrite after all the hoo-ha with the fashion industry's (and even Hollywood) obsession with size zero slash stick thin models.

So the big question is WHY IS MY BUST BIG?

It's bad enough that I'm slacking on the gym slash exercise routine lately but finding the right clothes in this country and some of our neighbouring countries that will accommodate my well-endowed bust (or so a friend has commented once or twice) is as frustrating as wondering whether your boss will approve your leave 2 days before you're due to leave for your holiday!

Having said that, look at the likes of Sophia Loren, Tina Turner, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Scarlett Johansson and Tyra Banks who seem to embrace their, ahem, sizes and flaunting 'em without a care in the world. Not that I'm thinking of flaunting mine a la Mariah Carey...imagine the commotion I'd cause *hahaha* but at the end of the day, I should be so lucky, lucky, lucky and perhaps put in that extra hour or so at the gym...ugh!

Lovely

As I sat on the sofa waiting for Ms G to try on her outfits late this afternoon, my eyes wandered off to the handbags which were placed on the shelves, each of them calling out to me each in their own seductive ways and I thought to myself "D**n, I want to buy another handbag!" So following that afterthought, as well as recalling that I'd started my own amazing race-like search last year for that ONE bag which would take me through my next "I-need-to-get-a-new-bag" phase, I came across this beauty.

Simply called (and somewhat surprisingly unoriginal) the Muse Two, I actually came across this via Bagsnob sometime last month. Why I didn't blog about it immediately...I think had something to do with the bag itself - it doesn't immediately grab your attention (like how Majorelle did it for me) but after a second look, you start appreciating the finer details and just by looking at how Kate Moss is carrying/holding the bag, you know you're on to something special, again.

p/s: Ignore what you may have read in recent articles reported in the Straits Times' Urban about how the Muse bag caused the death of the "It" bag....if it wasn't for the Muse bag (as well as the Paddington and Spy bags of the world) there wouldn't had been an "It" bag in the first place!

Deal or no deal?

Could this weekend be the light at the end of the tunnel everyone has been wishing for ever since the WGA went on strike three months ago? Though it's been reported that some kind of deal has been reached between the writers and the producers which has yet to be agreed/voted by the WGA members (in other words, it ain't over til the fat lady sings), let's hope for progress. I'm not just saying this for the benefit of those people who have been without work since this mess started aka the non-writers, but don't you wanna know whether or not (spoiler alert!) Nathan Petrelli survives the assassination...or will McDreamy find happiness with that not-so-whiny-and-selfcentred-as-Meredith nurse..or how Cameron and Chase will be brought back into the Dr House fold?

I DO!!

The WGA members may not read this blog but I don't think I can wait another seven months (yes you heard me right!!) to find out when Blair Waldorf will reclaim her Queen Bitch of the Upper East Side crown!

Excited!

I am in love!

No, not with who, rather with what.

First featured in Bagsnob (bless 'em) last year, and again updated recently after its name was revealed, my quest might just end with this (and no, my recent Longchamp Patente purchase does not count!)

Kitty's quest (part 3)

As the last days of 2007 quickly go by, I am still stuck in a rut. Still unable to decide on "the bag". Yes, the bag which will carry me throughout 2008 and beyond.

..so my quest continues with this Louis Vuitton Mahina XL. Though my love for all things Vuitton is starting to wane (who was the idiot that came up with the ultra expensive yet ultra ugly patchwork tribute bag?!? Absolutely unforgiveable) I fell in love with this when I spotted the black version in US Weekly.Just don't ask me 'bout the price..

wishful thinking

Such is my fondness for all things YSL that I'm contemplating ending my bag quest for 2008 by getting another YSL handbag. Infact, if I were to win a lottery(and that's a really BIG 'if'), I'd place splurging myself on each and every available YSL design (Tribute, Rive Gauche, Downtown, Catwalk..you name it) on my "Top 10" list!

But for now, the choice is narrowed down to this - the Capri Hobo Flap. Yes, it's still got a hefty price tag but, over the past few years, I've lived with this motto (and this ladies and gents ONLY applies to handbags!): Ain't no mountain high enough if you really, truly love it. And that was how I felt when I sealed the deals with my Muse and Uptown bags...and still do.

Kitty's quest

It's been, what, almost 5 months since I last splurged on handbags which is quite a feat for me considering how I'm known for scoring handbags as if they're Legos!?! So in my quest to find the 'perfect' bag, if ever there is such a thing in the first place, to last me for the next couple of months, what better way than to start off with the Nancy bag from Smythson. Currently numero uno on my wish list, this bag comes in three different sizes, including a clutch and available in black, brown and white (a limited edition which I'm sure is no longer available unless of course someone happens to know Samantha Cameron...la la la la) And what makes this bag all the more desirable, except of course for its price (950 pounds for the large size!?!), is how it doesn't appear to scream "Look, it's a Louis Vuitton/Prada/Gucci!"

So while I continue to ponder over this beauty as well as the $2800 I'd have to part with (!?!), my quest to find the bag goes on..

"My music is where I'd like you to touch"

Sometimes it's the simplicity that makes it all the more intriguing.

Note to Mr C..this is what I've been talking about *hint* *hint*

Objects of desire

Nikon D80
Nikon Zoom-Nikkor 18 mm-200 mm - f/3.5-5.6 G

Nikon Micro-Nikkor - Macro lens - 105 mm - f/2.8

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Should I, shouldn't I? I know I probably shouldn't e.g. dosh, time, effort la-la-la-la...

But does anyone know a cure for the incessant "I want I want I want" chant in my head?
