The theme was purple.
Invitation was at 7.30 but in this particular part of the world, it usually means guests won't start turning up til 8..the earliest would probably be 7.45.
The birthday celebrant was eagerly looking out from the garden much to my surprise. Even more surprising was how happy she was to see me. Perhaps it had something to do with the present I brought along...?
It was a gathering of close friends. Most of whom turned up in something 'purple'. The garden was nicely lit up with tea candles and fairy lights. Purple-coloured balloons were either hung on the trees or chairs. The host even served us purple crush..a mixture of grape (was it? I can't remember..) juice and 7-up. Mmmm..
And then there was the piece de resistance i.e. the birthday cake, which was just too beautiful to be cut!
Kudos to Medulla and her family for hosting the party...your soirees/parties are always interesting. Here's to more parties though I think we shouldn't find any solid excuse to hold one *wink* *wink*
p/s: I hope you don't mind me putting up the picture of the cake with the name on it..

Wow, the purple turned out well in the photos. Hee hee. Lots of back-breaking work but I think the effort was worth it. We all (hosts included) and the kids had a good time!
They sure did, didn't they? I should've taken more pictures of the balloons
