Some jems I'd like to share with everyone for August..
1) The Bourne Ultimatum
The BEST of all the threequels released this year..I remember mentioning this in my earlier blogs as one of those movies to keep an eye on and after months of waiting, let's just say this is worth the wait. Medulla and I were practically sitting on the edge of our seats all thru'out the movie..my favourite scene? Just too many of them but one that stood out was the scene at the railway station. Won't spoil it for those who have yet to catch this but when you get to that scene..you'll know what I mean. Move over 007, Jason Bourne ROCKS!!
2) Life In Mars
I used to scoff at anything British but lately with Little Britain, Doctor Who, Extras just to name a few, I've been converted to an Anglophile. Discovered this whilst listening to one of several podcasts which I subscribe to, this is about a police detective, Sam Tyler, who had a near fatal accident but wakes up in 1973. In between trying to figure out how to get back to 2006 (and waking up from his coma..or is he?) and going head-to-head with his partner, Gene "Guv'nor" Hunt and the rest of the team, Life In Mars is one of those rare and original jems which, I hope Hollywood will just leave alone and let it be..currently showing on channel 26, every Wednesday @ 10 pm.
3) Man vs. Wild/Bear Grylls (Discovery channel, Mondays @ 10 pm)
Nevermind the controversy surrounding the allegations that its survivor-expert host Bear Grylls bunked in motels when he was supposed to be braving the great outdoor, this reality documentary is quite entertaining and informative in the sense of teaching us how to survive..oh say..if you're stuck on a volcanic island (socks can be used as mittens/gloves) ..or how the best way to keep oneself 'warm' after swimming in the cold Alaskan waters is by stripping into one's birthday suit! Oh and Bear Grylls himself is pretty yummy too..
4) 30 Rock
What more can I say but who knew Alec "McGrumpy" Baldwin could be THIS hilarious???
5) Mark Ronson's Version
I still can't get enough of this album despite having raved about it sometime last month. I hear he's produced a song for my current fave Candie Payne..and he'll be DJing for the forthcoming MTV Video Music Awards..is there anything this Brit cannot do?? Tracks to listen to: Apply Some Pressure (a Paul Weller song) and Britney's Toxic.

Nice list, I agree about Version. Hmmm... Man vs. Wild has peaked my interest.
Uh uh..you should definitely check it out! Last week's episode about him being stranded in some island off Hawaii was pretty interesting esp the part where he was tryin to make his way off the volcano trek..that was scary!!
