- EU threatens tit-for-tat visa limits on Americans after US tightens law
They say the argument behind is to strengthen airport security and prevent any would-be you-know-what from entering so what's required from us is to register online and give details of our passport, travel plans and planned social and business meetings two days prior to departure. My argument is: where does our right to privacy fit in? Isn't it bad enough that we have to endure all sorts of restrictions nowadays and NOW we need to give them info on what we intend to do!?! Which in my case will probably revolve around shopping and eating most of the time!! But in all honesty, what will they do with the information once we're no longer in the country? How long are they intending on keeping our information? Are they going to give us suspicious or dirty looks from the information we've given them?
