What is it with people trying/claiming to be inventive or original when it comes to naming their kids? I mean can you imagine the trauma a child called 'Echo' or 'Kal-El' will undergo once they're all grown up?? And recently, the list of weird children's names continues to grow when a Chinese couple decided to name their newborn baby...wait for it...'@'
What are we supposed to supposed to call this child then?? Whatever happened to those easy-to-remember-yet-simple names like Jack? or Elizabeth? or Lee/Li?
So a word of advice to those soon-to-be-parents: think of your child's wellbeing in, oh say, 6-7 years' time. 'Echo' might sound cool initially but come 10 years later, the kid might have to legally petition for a more decent name!
