So here I am..in my room up on the Executive Lounge (woohooo!) ..waiting for my Pop Mie to simmer (yes it's times like these that I resort to unhealthy nutrition) and hoping that the internet connection doesn't bail out on me..again!!
It has been one tiring day, or rather journey. One which I hope I don't have to go through again. I can't believe the number of times we had to go through security check in one airport!?! And this was only a transit airport!!!
Remind me to thank the travel agent for fixing us with this tiresome itinerary.
Now I've heard all sorts of stories about Vietnam...one that particularly has always intrigued me is the way the locals drive. True enough there were countless numbers of motorcycles on both sides of the main road..probably outnumbering the cars, heavy duty trucks and buses put together! And what amazed me was how blase these motorcyclists were...not a care in the world. So I got curious and asked the driver about the accident rate in Hanoi.
To my surprise, not high.
"But how is that possible especially when they don't even use safety helmets?"
Strange as it may seem but it's true, safety helmets are far more hazardous as opposed to not using them. Why you may ask? Simply because using helmets make it difficult for its users to turn around/look behind while driving.
So that explains why Brad and Angelina weren't using helmets back then..
Hopefully I'll get to do some touristy stuff for the next 3 days or so...though judging from the meeting agenda, the only sightseeing I'll be doing is from my window!

Great! room. Excellent! King Size bed. Enjoy! sightseeing.
I love Vietnam!! Well, mostly because of the shopping though! I had my own negative views until I went to Ho CHi Minh for a conference & actually had a really good time! As for the cars & bikes, it's us peds that's in trouble, just one suggestion Kitty, when you need to cross the road, look straight & cross! Enjoy the rest of your trip as much as you can!
