I know there was an earlier blog about this but I had to delete it...simply cos it was all over the frakkin' place!
So I'm hoping this'll turn out better..
Presenting .... (* drum rolls please*) ...my "Must List" for April
1) Battlestar Galactica I have never been this excited about a tv show since House and this particular show has officially brought out my inner geekness out of its shell. Basically it's a remake of an old show (of the same name) back in the '70s ... can't really recall who the main actors were but I distinctly remember that guy from The A-Team.. Face (anyone??) being in the original series. This updated series retains most of its original characters tho some have undergone some gender changes (for twist purposes). In a nutshell, it's man versus the robotic Cylons (ironically created by man) where the Cylons launched a massive attack against the humans on all the Twelve Colonies, thus sending the human survivors on a desperate search for the 13th colony - Earth. What makes it even more interesting is how the Cylons have developed human-form models which makes it difficult to suss them out from the real humans...esp when some of them are programmed to think, feel and even get pregnant along the way! Frakkin' brilliant and addictive!!
2) The Lonely Post-Birthday World by Lionel Shriver A critics' favourite, I was practically over the moon when I got hold of this book thanks to the lovely sales assistant at Borders! p/s: I'll do a review of this book once I've finished reading.
3) Sunshine Don't let the title fool you. It's not a happy nor feel-good movie. Rather it's about testing one's psyche when faced with a life-or-death situation. Plus it's stars the brilliant Cillian Murphy...he was the pyscho killer in that airplane with Rachel McAdams..Red Eye...I couldn't stop staring at his blue eyes *droooooooooooooooool*
4) Jonathan Rhys Myers in The Tudors What more can I say about this guy but as the infamous Henry the 8th, I wouldn't mind being one of his many mistresses! Though I'd hope I'd get to keep my head in one piece thank you very much.
5) Seafood nite at Rizqun Forget the $40-per-person price tag! For THAT much food, it's worth indulging in. Just make sure you come with an empty tummy..otherwise RUGI!!!!!!
6) Wedges There's just something innocent yet sexy about wedges.Shame tho that there aren't many choices back here.
7) Mercier at The Mall Actually I forgot to ask the new owner for the exact name but I discovered this lovely treasure a few weeks on one of my window-shopping excursions. Initially it started out as this boutique selling first-class knock-offs but it's taken over Mercier thus extending its branch to two (does that make any sense?) Though prices are a wee bit on the high side but the goods are different, more up-to-date and one-of-a-kind (some, not all) compared to the other shops in town.
8) Take That I am still loving their comeback album and I'm proud to say (that) I'm a BIG fan!! Plus it's definitely safe to say that Take That is one of those rare jems in the world of former boy bands who can still garner so much interest and command a huge following...no offence Backstreet Boys and *Nsync.
9) Formula One I never thought I'd say this seeing how disappointed I was when Schumacher retired last year but it's turning out to be an interesting season what with three drivers currently leading the drivers' table i.e. Raikkonen, Alonso and Hamilton. Still think Alonso is highly overrated but I'm glad this rookie Hamilton is giving Alonso's ego a l'il bit of bruising cos I still think Alonso winning two years in a row was sheer luck!!
10) Bags, bags and more bags!! What's that saying...a girl can never have too many bags (or shoes!!) I got overly excited when I saw Bottega Venetta, Tods and Chloe opening booths in Terminal 2, Changi Airport. Unfortunately, or rather fortunately..whichever way you see it..I had to resist the urge to splurge...remembering that I've got my annual summer holiday coming up *siiiigggghhhh*

Just when I thought I've got enough bags... I find another one that I can't do without... :D
