A scene from Miss J's last birthday celebration
Scene from NBTIt's a double celebration today. Firstly, a Happy New Year to our Chinese friends out there (who're either likely to have zonked out after a hectic day, or still basking in the celebration). 2008 marks the Year of the Rat which, according to the ever-reliable Wikipedia, is "the first of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar. Rat is associated with aggression, wealth, charm, and order, yet also associated with death, war, the occult, pestilence, and atrocities. The Year of the Rat is associated with the earthly branch symbol 子."
Even more interesting is that rats, being the first sign of the Chinese zodiacs, are associated with leaders, pioneers and conquerors...so in the words of the lovely Keanu Reeves "Whoa".
The other cause for celebration is Miss J who celebrates her birthday today. I know we've already sent you endless birthday wishes but this is to let her know we're all thinking of her and missing her BIG time...yours truly in particular 'cos American Idol isn't the same without her this season. HAPPY BIRTHDAY from all of us at T.I.C
