post work coffee at Cafe Au Lait

Cafe Au Lait is located in Seri Q-Lap Mall in Kiulap. We have had lunch here, nothing outstanding, the usual selection of salads, starters, steaks, pastas. i wasn't impressed because they mucked up my order. maybe then, they were still new and the wait staff were inexperienced. maybe they are better now, we shall see.

anyhow, i recently went for a Post Work Coffee with a friend. i love the lovely fern like pattern on top of my Cafe Latte and my friend's Tea Latte (aka teh tarik!!) i especially love the gorgeous Bodum glasses they came in. the bread and butter pudding was surprisingly nice, creamy and moist, the accompanying custard was not too sweet, plus the extra squiggles of chocolate sauce topped it all perfectly! we also had Pancakes with Maple Syrup and butter which was very filling too. nothing like sharing calories to appease your guilt!

we actually went there for the pastry, but we were too late! they used to have this offer, where they had a plate of three pastries/cakes/donuts which came with coffee or tea. the choices would change everyday, every other week. the Vanilla Donut was divine. must look out for it at another time.
