Tales from a food addict

Today officially marked my first Sunday since Eid that I have not had to worry about keeping tabs on the number of open house invitations as well as the amount of calories to bear in mind. And what better way to 'celebrate' by checking out the Weekend Elegant High Tea offer at The Empire Hotel with my food-loving partner, Miss L (who happened to be craving for scones!) Despite the presence of heavy security and govt officials walking here and there - which usually meant (a) some high-level meeting was taking place or (b) some very very important person was staying at the hotel - us eager-beavers made our way to the lobby lounge, all set to pounce on the food that was awaiting our imminent arrival..

This might sound glutton-y but after having a second go at the scones, there was no way Miss L and I were gonna miss out on the delightful desserts..Raspberry Snow! Mini Apple Crumble! Berry Tarts! Berry Crumble! Carrot Cake! Coconut Slice! You'd be crazy to skip any of these!!

Well turns out we were slightly crazy..each of us settling for the Berry Tart and mini Apple Crumble. Makes you wonder why we complain about having difficulty lately getting into our baju kurungs!
