So the authorities are considering a de-merit points system following the recent increase of road accidents (and possibly the high number of errant drivers out there!!)...
Whilst this long-awaited idea is applauded (some of you might be familiar with this system which is applied in the UK and the States just to name a few), and that studies will be conducted into the feasibility of this system into our country, here're some suggestions courtesy of moi (miaow!) which the authorities should also take into consideration:-

- Don't just penalise those whacked-out, irresponsible drivers! Do something about those who can't seem to understand that if they intend to drive at, oh say 30 miles per hour, then don't go on the fast lane!?!
- Set an age-limit for the elderly. No disrespect here but the elderly can be as dangerous as the young 'uns.
- Yes, it's an offence to use mobile phones whilst driving (which hardly gets used in my opinion), these days people tend to multitask whilst driving..although I wouldn't encourage the authorities to go as far as banning applying lipgloss or even scratching our nose if it suddenly gets twitchy.
- No preferential treatment please.
- Time to revamp the drivers' ed lessons/test perhaps?
