A few things I'd noticed whilst in the Philippines:-

• The Filipinas love to eat. On top of the number of eating places/restaurants in the malls almost outnumbering the number of non-eating places, you're bound to find MacDonalds, ChowKing, Jollibee every 2-3 blocks! And they're open for 24 hours too!?!
• The Filipinas love shopping..and their malls. If you thought Vivo City, KLCC, Central World, Siam Center are hugely confusing, get a load of these malls - Glorietta, Greenhills and Mall of Asia! Just make sure you bring enough $$ and ample luggage allowance to fit your shopping.
  
• They like to "lepak". From shopping malls to parks to the streets, they just like to hang out(if that's even the correct word).
• They like to squeeze in lifts. Perhaps this is a one-off thing which occurs at the hotel where I stayed at but whenever the elevators are almost full, they will still get in that lift..and! don't expect them to budge or give you way 'cos they won't.
• They drive like crazy. From truck drivers to bus drivers to jeepny drivers..they are just barking mad!!?!
• They must have at least one pork dish in their menu. Now this has got to be the most frustrating thing especially if one is particular about eating in another country. I am normally not fussy but let's just say I was looking forward to eating airplane food last night!
  

The moral of my story is - it's so good to be back home..
