Playtime

Seeing that the 'summer' holidays had officially started for Twinkle's school, I took her for a treat at JP Playground. It was rather quiet - just a other few families with the same intention of willing away a cloudy but pleasant Friday afternoon.

I'm sure everyone knows how rundown the park has become in recent years. Only a few of the rides remain functional unfortunately - and even then, mostly for the toddler to 'young child' age group. The whole site looks badly in need of repair and restoration, which is a shame.

Nevertheless, to a two-year such things are of little concern... nor should they be. Give her some huge slides, tricky climbing frames and a pair of swings and it's enough. She's as happy as anything. And as we all know, a happy child makes for a content parent.

The wide open green spaces makes for a much needed breather from the four urban walls I'm usually seeing. I had my little IXUS with me, so I couldn't help but click away...
