After what has been a rather lacklustre five months, it looks like the cineplexes will be busy churning out new movies over the next couple of weeks..and what better way to start with the much-anticipated Spiderman 3.
This time round our friendly little neighbourhood faces not one, but three villains..no make that four...three of whom are out to seek revenge against Spidey. For the benefit of those who have yet to see this flick, I won't divulge too much info except that I found it to be too long (the writers should've just stuck with two foes)..some unnecessary scenes...poor use of the lovely Bryce Dallas Howard..and at times,rushed. A bit of a let down if you ask me.
Aside from that there were some memorable scenes which stood out...like the chase scene between Spidey and Green Goblin Jr (resurrected by best friend Harry)..and the scene where Spiderman's alter ego, Peter, was walking along the streets, hitting on the girls..kinda reminded me of John Travolta in "Staying Alive"...ooooh trying so hard not to reveal too much here!
Maybe I'm just being fussy..after all it just broke box-office records in the US by bringing in US$59 million for one day alone (beating the record held by Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Man's Chest) so what do I know right??
But most importantly, summer has definitely arrived...so perhaps all is not lost,yet.
