Saturday night

As I made my way back home from work today,I was so sure Gadong would be jam-packed with cars that I'd purposely left my gym gear knowing full well how frustrating it can get trying to get to the Mall on Saturdays. How wrong I was. But then I wasn't planning on going til after 6 since people might have already settled back home by then.

Come 6ish,I was on my way to collect my magazines..all set 'n' prepared with alternate routes in the event entrances to Gadong would be heavy with traffic. Wrong again. Gadong seemed like a ghost town. Well ok maybe a slight exaggeration there but when everything seemed to go your way, I tend to get suspicious of what's in store for me up ahead...

Nothing.Zip.Nada.Zero...there were none of the long queues forming on the roads and parking spaces were in abundance! Until it hit me.

It's the 'middle-of-the-month' syndrome. That time of the month when, after all bills have been paid and grocery shoppings have been done, most people stay at home counting the days till the next pay day (and maybe keeping track of next month's bills!)

And then there's tonight itself. On one corner is the final showdown of the FA Cup between Man Yooooo and Chelsea..and the other being the final concert for the still hugely popular Akademi Fantasia season 5 aka AF.
Which will I tune in to, you ask? Most likely both along with the other usual channels (Star World, HBO, CNBC, BBCE etc etc) ... or I could catch up on Heroes or House (though I'm saving those for tomorrow).... or.....I could just end up having an early night in.

Interesting innit? BUT whichever route I decide to go later, I know I'll end up posting another blog later..once I'm done checking the results that is!
